Energy poverty - in Germany!


Germany has come up a few times in class - their decision to move away from nuclear power, their dependence on Russian natural gas, their solar feed-in tariffs. Those decisions coupled with increasing demand for power are raising the price of electricity, creating "energy poverty" in one of the world's richest countries (see NY Times article here). Any place else this would be THE political issue, but all parties seem to have consensus on this issues. For now...
